Once the coffee tour is finished, we will start with the sweetest part of the tour, the delicious chocolate. Like coffee, we will talk about the entire Chocolate process, from the seed to the delicious chocolate bar and we will end up selecting some members of the group to grind the cacao beans and make their own chocolate bar. Once finished you will have the opportunity to taste several types of chocolate such as Dark Chocolate, Milk Chocolate and White Chocolate. One of our main features is the infrastructure we have, since the Arenal Area is well known for having a very changing climate, it goes from being very sunny and humid to heavy rains, even with a electric storms on some occasions, that is why that 100% of our trails are protected and made of cement, which will allow to enjoy the tour on sunny or rainy days. Families with children who need to take their stroller or people with some physical limitation will not have trouble walking with a walker, crutches or wheelchair.

Al caer la noche, acompáñenos a descubrir el delicioso mundo del chocolate donde aprenderemos todo el proceso desde la semilla hasta la deliciosa barra de Chocolate, una vez finalizada la explicación seleccionaremos a algunos miembros del grupo para moler el Cacao para realizar su propia barra de chocolate. Una vez finalizado tendrán la oportunidad de degustar varios tipos de chocolate como el Chocolate Oscuro, Chocolate con Leche y Chocolate Blanco. Una vez terminada esta dulce aventura, recorreremos nuestra finca para adentraremos a la extraordinaria vida nocturna donde podremos ver algunas especies de sapos y ranas como el gran Sapo Gigante, la gran Rana Come Pollos, las pequeñas “Joyitas del Bosque” como la Ranita Reloj de Arena y la más emblemática de Costa Rica, la Rana de Ojos Rojos. Con suerte durante el recorrido podremos ver algunas especies de insectos, mamíferos como el perezoso y algunas aves nocturnas.

After booking our experiences, you will arrive at our kitchen where you will be very welcome and where you will share a good time with an authentic Costa Rican family. After introducing ourselves and getting to know each other over a refreshing drink, we will take you on a tour of our organic garden, where you will learn about the different crops and aromatic plants, followed by picking some of the ingredients that we will use for the preparation of our dish. When we return to the kitchen we will prepare a refreshing mojito to proceed to prepare a typical dish with fresh ingredients, produced by us and our neighbors. At the end of the preparation of the dish, we will consume everything prepared in a family atmosphere. If you come with more time than agreed there is a good chance to observe some animals such as frogs, birds and sloth that live in our garden.

This is not a commercial coffee tour, it is an educational experience to create awareness in the only organic specialty coffee plantation in the Monteverde area, located in the Ecological Sanctuary, a 48 hectares family project focused on conservation, sustainability, agroecology, education and culture. In a guided workshop by an expert where you will learn from the basics of ancestral agriculture, how we create our own organic fertilizers, then you will know the coffee gardens planted in the forest that surrounds the Ecological Sanctuary, the drying area, and the process that involves the specialty coffee (history, plantations, growth, development, varieties and the science of flavor to prepare a good coffee). After leaving the forest, we will enjoy a guided coffee tasting, sharpening the senses to recognize defects, attributes, aromas and flavors in different qualities of coffee. Finally, we will create an interactive demonstration of the science of flavor and all the variables that an alchemist applies in the preparation of a coffee using different infusion methods. This workshop is an experience that will expand your knowledge of the world of coffee and help you become a home barista and an informed consumer. We also invite you to explore more of our property by hiking our trails, and connecting with nature.

Costa Rica is a small country in Central America that is home to around 5% of the world's biodiversity. Most animals in Costa Rica are nocturnal. If you like mammals such as sloths, armadillos, active birds such as owls, amphibians, reptiles, and many insects, then this is the opportunity to carry out an outdoor activity and learn more about the nocturnal behavior of many species of flora and fauna. It is an easily accessible route of around 2 kilometers, the ‘jewels’ of the cloud forest shine brighter at night. With luck, we will even be able to observe the famous bioluminescent mushrooms. the place where I do the night walk is very close to the center of Monteverde Santa Elena, it takes only 5 minutes by car. Después subimos. 3- Después de subir y cambiarnos de ropa, disfrutaremos de un almuerzo en el restaurante. 4- Después de la hora del almuerzo nos dirigimos al Volcán Arenal para hacer el sendero Arenal 1968 por aproximadamente 2 horas de caminata hasta las coladas de lava antigua. 5- Se incluye guía naturalista profesional. 6- Transporte a todos los lugares que visitamos. 7- Se incluyen botellas de agua fría en las caminatas. 8- La recogida está incluida si su Airbnb está cerca de la ciudad de La Fortuna. We will walk you into the coffee world, where a lot of little aspects of the production are explained. We would have a coffee tasting part where you can experience 3 different coffee flavors. A unique walk on the farm where a lot of diversity can be found, including new products that we are incorporating on the farm, for example cacao, sugar cane, turmeric, ginger, yuca, nispero, mullberry, and many more native products. We will see the coffee process, where we dry our coffee, all of it sundry with different techniques like honey process or natural process depending on the season If you wish to buy any coffee from us, we can package it together. We will process cacao seeds, after cacao is roasted we will peel the skin off the seeds, then grind it on very rustic tools until we can form our own chocolate ball-bar. we will provide everything you need to make your own chocolate we will give you the opportunity to grind your own sugar cane and taste such a great drink.

I'll handle everything from picking you up from your hotel (whether you're in San Jose, Heredia, or Alajuela) to securing your tickets for the volcano, leaving you free to simply book the experience and relish the trip. During our journey to the volcano, we'll make several stops to immerse ourselves in the local culture. We'll visit a quaint local coffee shop, where you can savor some of the finest brews in the area. Additionally, we'll pause at a charming souvenir shop, where you'll be greeted with a delightful tasting session featuring artisanal cheeses and liqueurs. But that's not all! We'll also have the unique opportunity to visit the world's only Starbucks coffee farm. We'll embark on our adventure early, aiming for the best chance to witness the volcano in its full glory. So, expect me to swing by around 7 am. Remember to dress warmly and be prepared for the weather, as the volcano's peak can be chilly and prone to rain. Esta experiencia se lleva a cabo dentro de una finca privada a través de áreas de conservación forestal, rodeada de bosque primario y secundario, dando a los visitantes la oportunidad de disfrutar de excelentes vistas panorámicas del Volcán Arenal y la selva tropical. Este tour está recomendado para adultos y niños mayores de 10 años. Con nuestros caballos sanos y bien entrenados comenzaremos esta increíble experiencia, en el establo daremos una charla de cómo cabalgar y luego andaremos 2 1/2 horas cabalgando a través de los senderos en el bosque lluvioso disfrutando de hermosas vistas . Tendremos acá la posibilidad de ver también animales como: monos, perezosos, coatís, aves como tucanes, pavos, halcones, etc. En algunas partes del sendero podemos galopar y trotar con los caballos. El peso máximo recomendado es de 100 kilogramos. En caso de que el clima sea adverso podemos tomar otra opción de sendero más tranquilo que es el Río Arenal, ambos increíbles parajes para la vida salvaje. Si requiere transporte al establo desde La Fortuna, el costo es de $5 por persona y recogemos 20 minutos antes del tour.

Our day starts by meeting at our office located 20 min away from Liberia downtown through the small villages of Colorado and Curubande. We count with two parking lots at our location in Curubande where you can leave your car safe while we do the hike. From Curubande we will take a 4WD for 1 km that will take us to the entrance of the waterfall trail and here is where the hike begins. The waterfall is well hidden away on the outskirts of Rincon de la Vieja Volcano . The trail is 1.3 Miles (2 Kilometers) singletrack so together it is 4 km. There are some climbing to do in elevation and some caves to go across. Later to reach the waterfall we have to swim 25 meters through a beautiful turquoise river canyon. This is a local experience that takes place where the Blanco and the Colorado rivers cross through, forming canyons and beautiful scenery which is why the water in their pools have that special turquoise tint.

Es una ruta basada en detalles, historia, anécdotas, rincones poco conocidos por el turista, complementado por el ingreso a edificios patrimoniales y a espacios públicos y privados, Plazas, Cafeterías, entre otras. Lugares icónicos de la ciudad como el Teatro Nacional, el Mercado Central o la Catedral. Ideal para fotografiar y poder caminar por la ciudad e identificar sus puntos principales, paradas de autobús, tiendas, mercados y todo lo necesario para moverse por San José. En dos horas y media le daremos una perspectiva que pocos le podrán dar y que le harán ver porqué San José fue una gran urbe y porqué le llamaban "el pequeño París". Aún cuando llueva, tendremos recorrido. Iremos por San José, por algunas zonas de sus cuatro distritos históricos (Carmen, Merced, Hospital y Catedral).

With 20 years of experience actively working in tourism, I will lead you along the trails explaining about the different ecosystems found here. We use a professional equipment , such as spotted telescope and binocular to facilitate the observation of fauna and flora. There are many interesting hidden animmals and plants in the forest and the only way to spotted them is with the experienced guide.
